The Scenic Route: A Writer's Odyssey
It's never the direct route that shapes us. It's the detours. The pauses. The places we didn't plan to end up but found ourselves in anyway.
I've never been one for the straight line. Not in travel, not in life, and certainly not in work. I've always found myself wandering the long way around, following the paths that curve, dip, and meander.
The scenic route is where the good stuff hides: the side quests, the unexpected sparks, the moments that shift something inside me and make me see the world differently.
Those winding roads have given me the best stories - the missteps, the magic and the old forgotten trails that somehow knew exactly where they needed to go. It's never the direct route that shapes us. It's the detours. The pauses. The places we didn't plan to end up but found ourselves in anyway.
